PLEASE NOTE: This is a roleplaying community, not a general interest community. Pending members whose userinfos do not state that the journal is for roleplay purposes will be rejected. If you'd still like to join and RP here, please make a character journal account and join with that one. This is (sort of) an offshoot of  randomplaces: once I realized that there are a lot of threads concerning the Island of Newfoundland in  fire_in_flight's reality, I decided to give it it's own community.However, this reality isn't entirely closed. This version of Newfoundland has been known to have interdimensional portals open up around it, and to have many different people show up. Feel free to bring your roleplaying characters to the Phoenix Bluff Bed and Breakfast if you think they need a break; fire_in_flight is always looking for more business.And don't mind the large cat, he's harmless. I'm pretty lax about rules. But here are some: - The overriding rule: Respect your threading partners! Don't force them to pursue plots that are OOC for their pups, or that breach subject matter that a mun isn't comfortable with. - Don't godmod. It's not nice. - Keep foul language to a minimum. Phrases like "F**k the f**king f**kers" are not necessary, no matter how funny George Carlin makes them sound. - While characters having romantic relationships is all sorts of awesome (especially crossfandom crack pairings!), I don't want to plug up this community with all that NC-17 stuff. Fades-to-black and moving it to your characters' personal journals are encouraged (but feel free to post a link with warning for continuity's sake if you like). I don't mind insinuations or innuendo, just keep the pr0n offa here. - There's no anti-violence rule, but if it gets excessively violent or gory (or if you intend it to be so right off the bat), put the opening post behind an lj-cut with a warning. I'll put up a warning on any thread at my discretion if I feel it's necessary. - Likewise, don't come bleating to me about how you were offended by a thread if it had a warning. We've got lots of characters with different backgrounds and muns with differing worldviews and comfort zones - so let's respect that and stay away from things we're not comfortable with. If you're okay with all of that, welcome to The Rock. Have a glass of Screech and lay back and enjoy the ride. :D |
