This isn't the library.

The tall blond looks around the slightly dark establishment, picking out a sign that says 'Port Club' in English... though the language she's hearing from the patrons doesn't sound like English.

Confused, she walks toward the bar, her stride that of a warrior who's never been fettered with heels or skirts. "What is this place?"

The other tall blond who's sitting at the bar turns toward the newcomer.

"That would depend on who you are."

"My name is Oriana Pax," says Prima, studying the other woman curiously.

"Hm." Sadri frowns slightly just as she realizes that this woman is completely devoid of emotion. "Sadri Oboa."

"No. I haven't actually seen very much of any world other than the inside of a mainframe." Prima looks down at the bowl of nuts that the barkeep pushes toward her, wondering what they're for.

"Are you a computer construct?"

That'd explain a lot.

"Of some sort." She pokes the nuts. "What sort I haven't managed to figure out yet."

She nods, then looks toward the ocean. "What's that sound?"

"That's the Atlantic Ocean."

"I... don't know what that is." She looks embarrassed.

She nods, then turns to the person who'd offered the beer and politely tells him no thank you.

"Would you like water or something?"

"Yes, please. Er... what does 'husband' mean?" She's wishing she'd made it to the library before she came here. Then she'd possibly have a lot less questions.

"Oh." Her smile brightens. "How old is she?"

Yay, at least she knows her pronouns! >_>

"She turned four in August."

Well, at least technically she was four, thanks to some reality-traveling.

"Does she resemble you?" Ohhh, there we go. She glugs softly as she drinks.

"Maybe I should try to find the library again." She looks up. "Do you have a PINpoint?"

"Yes, but the library isn't far." She looks up at the blue-haired teenager and asks for the bill and a take-home box.

"I can drive you there."

Oriana is confused. But then she understands. "Oh. There's a library here, too."

Sadri chuckles. "Yes. It is."

"So different," she says quietly, just looking.

[random_xtras]

Prima watches warily as the man walks over to Sadri's window.

"Can I get a jump?" asks Tom White. "@%$#%%$ battery's got it in fer me, she does."

Sadri sighs and puts the car up into neutral. "Yeah. Of course."

"Do you mind...?" She looks at Oriana. "I can go ahead and come back later if you can't wait."

He insults her cheerfully and gives her back her cables, then hops in his truck and drives away.

"He didn't thank you." Oriana watches him go bemusedly, feeling offended for her new friend.

Sadri laughs. "That's how Tom is," she explains. "The most ungrateful SOB I know."

Oriana gives a slight wave and runs up the library steps, eager to find things out.
