When the doorbell rang she hit pause and shrugged off Kurt's arm, then padded to the doorway and opened it on up.

And so Sal was going to stay in her own living room, despite the fact that staying there had rendered her so depressed that the only person she would communicate with were her husband and children (and even then it wasn't verbal communication)... but she knew where she was, and that counted for something.
